2024 Community Champions
GSNC will be proudly honoring three recipients with our inaugural 2024 GSNC Community Champion Award for their outstanding support and dedication.
Allison Bishop White
Allison Bishop White, Esq. joined the board in 2016 as a member-at-large and now serves as its Vice President. Ms. Bishop is a supporter of Girl Scouts in her community and has held roles at LPL Financial where she was the Senior Vice President, Head of Early Dispute Resolution and lead a team of attorneys who are responsible for the investigation and resolution of matters involving the sale of securities products. Prior to joining LPL Financial, Allison was employed at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she was a Director, and the New York Stock Exchange, (now known as the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), where she held a number of senior roles. Ms. White is a member of the New York City Bar Association, the Financial Women’s Association, the New York State Medical Review Board, and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. She also serves on the Public Policy Council of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. Ms. White is a graduate of Northeastern University and has a Juris Doctor (JD) from the Maurice A. Dean School of Law at Hofstra University.
Michael Halperin
Chief Operating Officer at Solarus Technologies
Michael Halperin is the Chief Operating Officer at Solarus Technologies, Inc., which provides outsourced managed IT services to clients nationally. Michael is presently on the board of Habitat for Humanity Long Island; he served as President of Habitat for Humanity Nassau and was instrumental in the merger of Nassau and Suffolk to create one Long Island Habitat for Humanity. Michael is also a founding board member of The Nonprofit Cooperative, an agency that’s sole purpose is to help nonprofits nationally. Michael also held board seats with both Girls Inc. of Long Island and Spirit of Huntington Art Center. Michael is part of the graduating class of 2020 Energeia Partnership, a leadership academy at Molloy University. Michael is passionate about hockey, enjoys being outdoors, and has a deep appreciation for music and art. His daughter shares his love for art and together, they have amassed an eclectic art collection from all over the world in their home on Long Island with their dog Petunia.
